Medical Shuttle Driver - On-Call (South Hill)

Rockwood Retirement Communities is a nonprofit fully accredited continuing care retirement community (independent, assisted living and skilled nursing). We currently have the following rewarding career opportunity available at our South Hill Campus:
Medical Shuttle Driver - On-Call - The primary purpose of this on-call position is to assist the Director of Activities in providing driving for residents of Rockwood South Hill in accordance with the program established by the Director. This position would also provide assistance to the Activities Department during special events and help assist in the office via answering phones, taking messages, and directing residents.
Must have a Current Drivers License, CDL-PASSENGER ENDORSEMENT IS REQUIRED. Maintain Good Driving Record. Current CPR/First Aid Cards and Food Handler Card preferred. Must have skills with geriatric residents. Computer skills preferred. Must be able to enter and exit vehicle safely and continuously throughout the work schedule. Proper lifting and transferring residents in and out of vehicles including wheelchair transfers. In the absence of DOA will direct work of other drivers. Pass mandatory/random drug and alcohol testing as required by DOT.
Hours vary. Some weekend coverage.
