We are looking for people who love the challenge and reward of working with adults with developmental disabilities requiring behavior and therapeutic support. Community Support Specialists provide a home like environment to support and encourage individual growth, a sense of community and independent living skills.

Other aspects of the position might include:

Communication Difficulties
Every person has the potential to increase their level of communication, allowing them to initiate, respond and make choices.

Hygiene
Assisting with; bathing, toileting, dressing, and overall personal hygiene emphasizing the importance feeling comfortable, healthy, and clean.

Aggressive Behaviors
Some of the individuals we support might have problem behaviors.

Immobility Assistance
Depending on the types of assistance the members require, you might need to lift bodies or assist in lifting/transferring individuals from locations.

Medical Assistance
In some cases, the individuals might need medical assistance including blood sugar testing, injections, passing of medication, etc.
