Food Safety/Sanitation Manager (Spokane, WA)

A large commercial bakery is now hiring for a full time Sanitation/Food Safety manager.
Responsibilities:
Directs and coordinates the sanitation functions within the bakery including: training, S.S.O.P.'s (sanitation standard operating procedures) and supply/equipment purchasing.
Implements sanitation policies, programs and procedures toward the objective of producing bakery products free from contamination and that comply with all regulatory and industry standards.
Program management responsibilities for Food Safety to include: Self-Inspections, HACCP, GMP's (good manufacturing practices), Recall and Traceability, Food Defense, Pest Control, Building Maintenance, and SQF (Safe Quality Food).
Develop, implement and monitor the Sanitation Department's budget expenditures in respect to labor and supplies to ensure compliance with annual department budget guidelines.
Additional duties and/or Responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible bakery management and/or Food Safety experience
Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field equivalent to a 4 year college degree
Ability to perform tasks requiring independent knowledge of Food Safety in addition to procedures or instructions provided.
A high level of analytical ability is required
Demonstrates good interpersonal skills
Ability to exercise a high level of independent judgment
Good computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite products and internal programs
Enrolled in or finished the AIB 16 week class or the Certified Bakers program
Previous experience managing in a union environment is desirable
Support and adherence to Franz Bakery Core Values
High school diploma or GED
