Health Services Specialist (On-Call) (Spokane, WA)

If this sounds like you we would like you to consider our opportunity for On-Call Health Services Specialist. We have one on-call opportunity at our Pioneer Center East facility in Spokane, WA. Pioneer Center East (PCE) has 35 beds for Involuntary Chemical Dependency Treatment for individuals who are chemically dependent, as well as a 5 bed sub-acute detox/assessment unit. Pioneer Center East has a licensed capacity of 48 treatment beds and maintains contracts with DASA, DOC, US Probation - Eastern Washington Branch and has worked with Tribes in both Washington and Idaho.
Pioneer Human Services (PHS) is a nationally recognized statewide non-profit organization with over 50 locations providing an integrated array of services to include employment and training, chemical dependency treatment, mental health counseling and corrections service.
This position is responsible for assessing healthcare needs, providing social, moral, and spiritual guidance, and in collaboration with other staff, shall be responsible for implementing programming designed to assist each resident with their individual treatment plan. Further, the Health Services Specialist is responsible for suggesting and recommending changes in program, policy and procedure. The Health Services Specialist is responsible for providing high quality services under the least restrictive conditions feasible.
Individuals selected for these opportunities should have the ability to work various shifts as needed including weekends.
Education & Experience
Must be licensed in the State of Washington as Nursing Assistant-Registered or Certified; Medical Assistant, or Certified Emergency Medical Technician.
Must have current First Aid and CPR certification, Airborne & Bloodborne Pathogen training
Current Food Handler's Permit (or obtain within 2 weeks of hire)
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Access, e-mail, Excel, and Word at time of hire or within 6 months of hire date
Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen are a requirement for this opportunity.
The compensation for this non-exempt On-Call opportunity is $10.31 -- $14.66 an hour.
