Job Description
Position Summary
The Public/Vendor Relations Specialist is responsible for providing organizational, strategic and creative support in the areas of public relations and vendor relations. The candidate will be focused on developing, maintaining and enhancing relationships national media while supporting day-to-day administrative needs and assisting in the planning and implementation of special projects. FairBridge is looking for a bright, creative, energetic, self-motivated professional.

Public Relations Responsibilities:

  • Implement a comprehensive strategic media relations plan for FairBridge Hotels International.
  • Establish and maintain positive and productive professional relationships with members of the news media – national, regional, local and global; trade, business and general.
  • Serve as a media contact responsible for responding to media inquiries and requests for the properties
  • Assist with public relations projects and events through research, writing, preparation and distribution of press releases
  • Coordinates special events, including event planning, press release distribution and assistance on-site.
  • Brainstorms on creative PR initiatives for hotels
  • Assist with media reservations, media interviews, media requests, photos shoots, radio drops, etc.
  • Handle press kit updates and production.
  • Manage database updates and the creation of media lists, and distribute press materials to media.
  • Coordinate and attend internal PR meetings with sales and revenue teams


    Vendor Relations Responsibilities:
  • Field/facilitate calls with vendors.
  • Developing new and maintaining current relationships with vendors for FairBridge members.
*Communication vendor relations to FairBridge member properties.

Job Requirements
Qualifications*skill and knowledge requirements:
  • 2 years hotel management or sales/ marketing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excels in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Internet
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to follow-through on completion of tasks and responsibilities with a high degree of control
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Proactive and resourceful in solving problems
  • A results-oriented, self-motivated, creative individual with a high energy level and keen sense of humor.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet multiple deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to diplomatically prioritize requests
