The Inland Northwest Blood Center, a not-for-profit, community service organization serving the Inland Northwest with quality products and services for 65 years is recruiting for a full-time HR/Safety Coordinator to develop/maintain the center-wide safety program. Perform HR generalist role with primary areas of responsibility to include coordination of workers’ compensation, leave of absences, administration of benefit plans, and employee relations. This position is primarily days.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/related field, two-years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education/experience; PHR/SPHR preferred. Understanding of federal/state/local laws/regulations related to safety, benefits and human resources; previous experience conducting employee relations investigations preferred; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; strong team building skills, active listening skills, and the ability to develop and motivate others to accomplish goals; possess high ethical standards and values, personal integrity and honesty; excellent verbal/written communication, proofreading, and grammar skills; demonstrated effective use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and e-mail software, preferably Microsoft Office products; ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
