Manufacturing Engineer Job Description:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the planning and design of processes for use in the manufacture of company products. One must be able to analyze the layout of equipment, workflow, production methods, and workforce utilization to maximize efficiency. Must be able to follow production schedule and be aware of production needs. Must be able to follow guidelines to assure machinery, room, and materials are in compliance with QSR/ISO requirements. One must also stay informed concerning new manufacturing technology and equipment, and investigates their potential application to be able to recommend the incorporation of new technology for company applications where practical and feasible. Capable of efficiently integrating existing methods with new innovations to solve production problems in a timely manner.
Required Skills:
BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING OR MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING REQUIRED
5+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
STRONG SKILLS IN STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL METHODS
PROVEN ABILITY TO ANALYZE MATERIAL FLOW IN AN AUTOMATED MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
EXPERIENCE IMPLEMENTING LEAN MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUES FOR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT REQUIRED
EXPERIENCE IMPLEMENTING OR BEING A PART OF KAIZEN EVENTS
FAILURE MODES AND EFFECT ANALYSIS
GOOD ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS
MUST HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO HIGH VOLUME AUTOMATED PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT Location: Northern ID
Compensation: Depending on experience
