Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct chemical dependency assessments, and individual/group counseling; case management with clients; and treatment planning. Must be proficient in assessment and be able to meet deadlines effectively. Must be able to work with clients who have varying needs and levels of difficulty with social adjustments. Be able to observe strict boundaries, and follow procedures regarding client confidentiality. Experience working with adults is required.
Education & Experience Required
Must have a Chemical Dependency Professional certification. At least 3 years acceptable experience in the chemical dependency field; registered counselor by the State of WA Department of Licensing; valid WA State drivers license. Advanced training or education in chemical dependency. Must have good writing and documentation skills. Candidates must possess strong clinical skills in documentation, group facilitation and boundary setting. Experience working in a correctional setting or with the corrections population is preferred. Mental Health experience is desirable.
