Public Utility District No. 1 of Pend Oreille County
Power Supply Specialist
The District is seeking a qualified individual to support Power Management by assisting with short and long term operating decisions, load forecasting, and resource planning, including data and reporting submittals to appropriate utilities and agencies. The position also involves implementing and maintaining documentation standards to ensure that the District remains in compliance with federal, state and other regulatory entities (NERC, FERC, WECC, etc.).
Qualified applicants must possess a strong ability to understand, document and administer large volumes of complex and detailed technical material related to electric utility operations. Position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong reading/writing/math skills, and the ability to maintain accurate and complete audit documents pertaining to policies, procedures and operating standards.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering is preferred with at least 1 – 3 years experience in electrical power supply operations. Strong analytic, organizational, documentation and multi-tasking skills are required. A solid working knowledge of Microsoft application software (Word, Excel, Access, Visual Basic) is also required.
