Program Director - Assistive Technology (Spokane) Full-time

The Director of Assistive Technology provides supervision, leadership, financial management, marketing, and direct service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Management:
• Recruit staff as needed.
• Provide for the supervision, training, and continuing education of all staff.
• Maintain personnel records needed to meet state and county contractual requirements.
• Provide guidance and discipline in accordance with Easter Seals Personnel Policies.
• Schedule staff according to program needs and budgetary guidelines.
2) Program Development:
• Ensure current program utilization and high quality standards.
• Meet or exceed requirements for program accreditation and contract compliance.
• Provide for the continued growth of viable programs.
• Market programs by creating brochures, publishing press releases, meeting with key community members, etc.
3) Fiscal Responsibility:
• Prepare and revise program budgets.
• Work to meet or exceed the agency’s financial goals.
• Carefully review and approve timesheets, expense reports, and mileage reports.
• Prepare and approve purchase orders.
4) Customer Service:
• Model “world class” customer service approach.
• Respond quickly to all questions and concerns.
• Utilize a value-based decision making process.
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A. Bachelor’s Degree or combination of work experience and education commensurate with above duties.
B. Advanced knowledge of computer technology.
C. Private transportation that can be used on the job.
D. Possession of current Washington State Drivers License and proof of sufficient auto insurance coverage.
E. Flexible schedule of availability.
F. Must pass Washington State criminal background check (and FBI fingerprint check if a Washington resident for less than three (3) years).
G. Must have proof of U.S. citizenship or right to work.
H. Ability to work independently.
I. Supervisory experience.
J. Experience performing customer service duties.
K. Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
Many assignments will be take place at community sites. The Director of Assistive Technology must be willing to travel throughout the area and to other locations as needed.
