Decagon Devices, Inc. is looking for a professional and self-motivated individual for our Product Testing Technology Applications Engineer position. The Application Engineer will work closely with the market group manager and research scientists to provide technical support to our foods customers. Decagon, a rapidly growing family and employee owned company located in Pullman, WA., designs and manufactures a wide range of instruments for food and soil physics. They are industry leaders in measurement of water activity and thermal properties.

Responsibilities:
• Walk customers who are interested in Duo and AquaSorp through the technical proof of concept process so they will purchase these products
• Manage all processes related to collecting samples from customers and reporting results back to them
• Provide application-related customer support to all PTT customers
• Assist the Research Scientists in educating customers on water activity/product moisture/isotherms. This will include application notes, seminars, conference calls, customer visits, trade shows, etc.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, food science, or related field
• Ability to work with customers effectively and consistently exceed their expectations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively and work effectively in a friendly team environment Reports to: PTT Market Group Manager
