Aesthetician for Benefit Cosmetics (North Town Mall)

Job Title: Aesthetician
Reports To: Lead Sales Aesthetician
Job Location: Brow Bar
Employee Status: Full-Time
Summary:
A Brow Bar Aesthetician is responsible for demonstrating and selling Benefit products by use of the Magic Formula, and performing short salon services including brow and facial waxing. The Aesthetician is also responsible for maintaining State Board compliant areas, and for maintaining accurate and complete records of all kinds. Provide excellent customer service, achieving all service and product goals and following all Benefit and Retailer guidelines is also expected.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Sales and Service Goals-
• Achievement of personal sales and service goals using the 8 Step Magic Formula.
• Demonstrate, recommend and sell Benefit products.
• Perform short salon services, including but not limited to brow and facial waxing and tweezing. Up-sell additional services when appropriate.
• Service walk-in customers in a timely and efficient manner. Service all customers with a sense of urgency, remembering we are never ‘booked’.
• Book appointments for return services and makeup lessons, and for all events. Use the appointment book correctly to effectively book appointments.
• Use of The Hand Off to ensure overall product sales goal achievement.
• Follow all safety, sanitation and hygienic procedures before, during and after services.
• Maintain a cheerful, upbeat, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude so that atmosphere is playful and exciting.
• Create and maintain a partnership with the Brow Bar Beauty Artists to promote teamwork and a high level of customer service.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
-Service Supplies & Stations-
• Maintain a sanitary and organized Brow Bar and waxing areas that are state board compliant at all times.
• Notify LSA of any supplies that are needed in a timely manner, well before an outage occurs.
• Follow all morning/evening opening and closing procedures, turning off workstations, straightening up work area, cleaning tester units, cutting muslin, etc.
-Teamwork-
• Cooperate with and assist co-workers.
• Maintain a professional attitude and atmosphere at all times.
• Work closely with other Aestheticians and Beauty Artists to ensure excellent customer service, and that service and sales goals are achieved.
-Administration-
• Neatly prepare sales receipt for each service and/or sale, and record on the DBR..
• Accurately and efficiently add up your DBR at the end of your shift and record on your Aesthetician Sales Report.
• Accurately follow all company time keeping procedures.
• Neatly and accurately prepare and turn in Aesthetician timekeeping, attendance and tip reporting documents to manager prior to pay period deadline.
• Notify your manager about absences according to company policy.
-Miscellaneous-
• Follow all Benefit and Retailer rules and regulations.
• Follow Benefit and Retailer dress code.
• Maintain very high quality of personal hygiene.
• Attend mandatory Benefit Training Parties and team meetings.
• Aestheticians may be required to work a rotating schedule between the stores. Occasionally one may be temporarily assigned to a different store to cover a last-minute absence of a co-worker. Follow company and Retailer dress code.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
-Implements-
• The company will issue four tweezers and four facial scissors to each employee upon hiring. Employee is responsible for the care, sanitation, and maintenance of these utensils.
• Employee is responsible for bringing these implements to work each day.
• Employee may turn one set of utensils in for sharpening at a time, allowing 8 weeks turn-around time. If employee comes to work without utensils, employee is responsible for purchasing their own utensils for that day.
-Certificates, Licenses, Registrations-
• California State law requires, an individual performing such duties as outlined here must hold and display a current Aesthetician’s License issued by the State, or current Cosmetologist License issued by the State of California Board of Cosmetology.
• Original license must be displayed at the location where employee is working each day.
• Employee is responsible for renewing their license in a timely manner, sending in the appropriate paperwork no less that 90 days before expiration.

• This job requires the employee to stand most of the dayThe job requires the employee to make several trips to the wash basin to get water, fill QUATS, etc.
• The employee is required to touch the client on the face and eyes.
