Position Overview:

Facilitate high-energy parent-child play classes and birthday parties using lesson plans provided by Gymboree

Candidate will be a happy, playful, positive, sales oriented team player who enjoys singing, educating parents and multi-tasking

Candidate will have the ability to engage children and adults through physical, cognitive and social interaction

Minimum Requirements:

BA / BS in Education, Early Childhood Development or equivalent

Previous experience working with young children (children ages 0-5) desired

The ideal candidate will possess strong group leadership and customer service skills

Pleasant and tuneful singing voice

Commitment to on-going learning and program development

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, engaging, patient and outgoing coupled with extremely strong interpersonal skills; in addition this person must have the ability to work with all types of personalities

Sales experience preferred

Sense of humor appreciated

Own reliable transportation

CPR within 60-days of hire

Must lift 20#

As a person being trained, you are an intern and we will provide non-paid practical experience for beginners in a teaching, business, or customer service occupation.

Interns work part-time in the classroom along the side of a mentor while gaining an understanding of experience-based, developmentally appropriate education. They take on steadily increasing responsibilities as their skills and confidence grow until they are capable of managing the entire class.

With this newly acquired experience, interns will gain unpaid experience they can use here (or elsewhere) when there is an opening in this field and are not specifically entitled a position upon the conclusion of the training period.

Receive approx 40-50 hours of intense training prior to the start of a job reserved for the best performers. Interns receive classroom-based instruction, practical teaching, and seminars. If hired, the Gymboree teacher salary range is $10-$15/hour and $8.55 for non-teaching time.


Location: Spokane Valley WA
Compensation: $8.55-$15.00 after training depending on task
