Job Title: Digital Media Marketing Specialist

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Dean of the Gonzaga University School of Law, the Specialist will oversee and execute digital marketing to increase active engagement with prospective and current students, donors, alumni, faculty, staff, and other Law School community members. The Specialist will work with the University¡¦s Marketing and Communications Department (MarCom) and Information Technology office (IT) to rebuild the Law School¡¦s website and, once the site is completed, have day to day responsibility for creating and managing content. The Specialist will also create and implement effective digital marketing strategies to include website updates, social media, email marketing, text messaging, and audio/visual materials in support of the institution¡¦s overall communications, marketing, and fundraising objectives. This position requires a high level of interpersonal skills, creativity, and technical abilities. There is a possibility of an additional 6 month contract at the end of the initial term, or converting the position into one with benefits and no fixed term.

Essential Functions:
Work with MarCom and IT in rebuilding the Law School website, primarily by revising existing content and creating new content;
Collaborate with MarCom to create strategies for digital marketing programs, social media, and ongoing updates for the Law School website;
Meet with Law School administrators, faculty, and staff on a regular basis to keep current on news and events;
Create frequent website updates, including: writing interview-based articles and other news items, as well as creating audio and video components and limited graphics. Work within CMS (Cascade Server) to implement those updates; oversee various Law School staff who periodically work with CMS;
Regularly monitor digital communications and respond to conversations and issues according to a strategy set forth by the Dean;
Implement search engine optimization strategies;
Work with the Law School departments and MarCom, as needed, to design and implement interactive HTML/Flash/multimedia campaigns and electronic newsletters;
Create content for social media as needed;
Collaborate with the University¡¦s IT and MarCom departments;
Perform other internet marketing duties as assigned in support of the Law School¡¦s mission.

Supervision Given/Received
Reports to the Law School Dean.
Physical Demands
The functions are usually performed sitting but may involve some amount of time standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, walking, carrying and reaching. Extensive wrist and hand movements related to computer keyboard work. Ability to be mobile campus-wide for appropriate business needs.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field.
At least two years recent experience with internet marketing.
Advanced level skills in CMS-based website management, electronic newsletter design, multimedia campaigns, social media strategy, and search engine optimization.
Excellent writing and copy-editing skills.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to ¡§translate¡¨ between technical and non-technical staff.
Ability to work and collaborate with a variety of constituencies, including various departments within the Law School and the University.
Fluency in current key concepts, best practices, and procedures in electronic communications.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments simultaneously with limited supervision; ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to pay attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with legal or academic environments.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A local RAW representative and event producer is responsible for planning, promoting and producing a monthly showcase in their city. Interacting closely with both RAW headquarters as well as their own team of assistants and staff, the local artists and arts community in their area. The RAW Location Director is responsible for ensuring the seamless booking, planning, and coordinating of each monthly showcase. In addition to this, the ideal candidate will represent RAW in his/her own city, promoting the organization and serving as an ambassador in the field. This includes, though is not limited to:

– Booking RAW artistic talent monthly (making sure that each month is fully booked by sourcing talent to participate)
– Managing communications between booked talent, venue, and staffing
– Conducting meetings and interviews with potential artists and staffing
– Networking with local arts organizations, collectives, and communities; building relationships w/ potential artistic talents & patrons
– Promoting each monthly showcase as well as RAW as an organization
– Participating in public relations and pursue press coverage per event showcase
– The production of each RAW showcase from set up to tear down, and everything in between
– Being available via email and cell phone to answer questions, coordinate call times and venue relations during pre-event production
– Conferring w/ talent before, during, and after all showcasing—ensuring the artist’s satisfaction as well as maintaining positive report.
– Moderating all lines of communication between RAW headquarters, the artists, videographers, photographers, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

– At least 3-5 years experience in event planning/production
– Strong ties with the local arts community is a plus
– Strong networking skills
– Excellent organizational skills and task/detail-oriented
– Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
– Experience dealing with a variety of clients (artists, fashion designers, musicians, etc . . .)
